These were great to use the week before Christmas to stay on target while having fun.

These are so fun to do and easy to use. Made for a great preholiday task. The kids enjoyed them. I placed them around the room and they got to walk and talk and work. Nothing better than that for me. Thanks.

Each morning a writing prompt was at the students’ desk and I would rotate them through the teams giving them a new prompt each morning.
Roxanna M. –
My students loved using this resource, it was great for in class and tutorials.
Stacey T. –
These pictures are varied and provided a great chance to use emotion words along with dialogue.
Lori Ambrose –
My students loved using this resource. Students would read their captions and the class would guess which picture the caption was talking about. The students were very engaged.
Pam T. –
I used this for a filler writing activity for early finishers, but most of the students wanted to complete it as well.

These Holiday Caption Task Cards became part of our December writing center activities. Students used a framework from our writing curriculum to construct a good, descriptive sentence to serve as a caption for the pictures. I would’ve liked a more even distribution of holiday pictures, including Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.

I love task cards for so many activities; centers, scoot, scavenger hunts. This is fun and engaging. Thank you!

My creative writers loved this activity. I was able to differentiate in my classroom with word banks, sentence strips, allowing students to write in their native language. It was a great writing center activity. I also used this in morning buckets. Thank you!
