Description
Are you looking for a fun and engaging activity for President’s Day? This George Washington Biography Reading activity is just what you need! This drag-and-drop, Google Slides activity allows students to read informational text about the life of George Washington and his connection to President’s Day. This activity set also includes fun writing prompts with Google Earth links that take students to different locations that were impactful to George Washington’s life.
Your students will answer reading questions based on each passage.
❤️ But there’s a twist: the pictures that show the former president have been scrambled up! Then, in order for students to see each picture, they must answer the questions correctly.
❤️ Since George Washington is pivotal to President’s Day, the mystery pictures aspect makes this an engaging way for 4th-6th grade students to celebrate President’s Day.
You can use this set for virtual or in-class reading and social studies. This activity would also be great for reading centers and history lessons during February.
