This product contains four high interest passages. The length of the passages is perfect and not too overwhelming for students. Including colors in the responses is engaging for students and also helps them with following directions. Thank you!

This packet has 4 passages that your students will be interested in. (9-11, Halloween, Turkeys, and National Video Game Day). There are a variety of questions for each passage (underlining/circling answers in specific colors and short answers). Each passage also includes a picture that goes along with the article. My students enjoyed the finding the answers in the passage and underlining. This is good practice for tracking answers. I used this in small groups (my students struggle with academics and need help with unknown words) and reminders to start their answers with part of the question. We also practiced underlining the question to begin our answer.
