One of my favorite ways to practice multiplication with 3rd graders is by using arrays and repeated addition shown in real-life examples. Arrays help students grasp the concept of “groups of” and these equal groups form the basis of multiplying. This is a good activity to deepen learning and understanding of the topic.

Description

One of my favorite ways to practice multiplication with 3rd graders is by using arrays and repeated addition shown in real-life examples. Arrays help students grasp the concept of “groups of” and these equal groups form the basis of multiplying.
