I used this activity during distance learning toward the end of the year, and I am so excited to make it a classroom norm this upcoming year! I learned a lot about my students from what they were grateful for, which in turn made me more appreciative of them as well. I take one full class period the first time we do this activity, and then I make it a Fun Friday rotation, where students can shout out their classmates, write a note to somebody who works in the school, or write a note to their families. Really lovely and it puts students in the mindset to look out for moments of kindness and gratitude!
