Teaching Resource Developer (Part-Time & Project Based Contractor Role)

Do you love creating fun, clear, and visually engaging classroom materials? Are you familiar with the types of resources teachers love using from platforms like Teachers Pay Teachers? If you’re creative, organized, and passionate about education, we’d love to work with you!


How We Can Work Together

At The Butterfly Teacher, we create high-quality, no-prep curriculum resources that help upper elementary and middle school teachers save time and teach effectively. Our mission is to Transform Learning Beautifully, and we do that by designing resources that are classroom-ready, standards-aligned, and loved by both students and teachers.

We are currently hiring a Teaching Resource Developer / Curriculum Creator to support our growing curriculum library. This is a remote, part-time and project based contractor role with ongoing opportunities of long-term and even full-time growth. You’ll help turn our ideas, outlines, and existing materials into polished, powerful educational products.


What You’ll Do

📘 Design classroom-ready resources such as:

  • Digital and printable lessons for students in Grades 2-6
  • Interactive activities, exit tickets, quizzes, and more
  • Seasonal, thematic, and skill-based learning tools

🖥️ Create all materials in PowerPoint, following brand guidelines for layout, format, and visual consistency.

🎯 Ensure all resources are:

  • Aligned with American elementary school standards and teaching practices
  • Independent, student-friendly, and visually engaging
  • Clean, organized, and error-free
  • Formatted for listing on Teachers Pay Teachers and our own shop

🤝 Collaborate with the team to align resource creation with content calendars, promotions, and seasonal themes.

📂 Maintain organized files and follow clear SOPs for version control and product consistency.


Who We’re Looking For

✅ Strong understanding of U.S. upper elementary or middle school education


✅ Skilled at creating resources in Microsoft PowerPoint


✅ Familiarity with Teachers Pay Teachers: how resources are presented, formatted, and listed


✅ Attention to detail, consistency, and layout


✅ Strong command of English (fluency required)


✅ Able to receive and apply feedback quickly and respectfully


✅ Bonus: Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, etc.) to streamline content creation


🌟 Even better: Background in teaching, instructional design, or resource development
