Description
February Literacy Center | Homonyms, Homophones, Homographs
This hands-on February literacy center gives 3rd–5th grade students practice with homonyms: homophones and homographs. You can also use this resource for distance learning because it comes with a Google Forms version.
For this literacy center, students will read the sentence on each heart-shaped task card. Then they must match the correct homophone or homograph with the sentence.
This approach not only provides practice in correctly identifying homonyms but also enables students to use context clues to figure out the meaning of the chosen homophone or homograph.
❤️This February Literacy Center includes:
- 28 Homonym Hearts (Task Cards)
- Editable Templates
- Extension Template (for students to write their own sentences)
- Colorful Hearts + Black & White Copies
- Student Recording Sheet
- Student Information Cards (that shows the definition & differences between homophones & homographs)
- A Google Forms version that you access through a direct link within the PDF
This February Literacy Center is standards-aligned and saved in a zip file.
